Carlisle man flown to hospital after falling from lorry


A MAN has suffered serious injuries after falling from the top of a lorry. The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to Carlisle at 10:30am today (December 23) to assist North West Ambulance Service in Carlisle. On arrival at the scene, the aircrew doctor and paramedic assessed and treated a man, believed to be in his 50s and from Carlisle, for serious back and chest injuries before he was flown to Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary in 15 minutes.
