Buy a Bear Mile this Christmas and save a person’s life.
If you’re stumped for present ideas and each year, wrap somebody’s with a lingering resignation: “I’d better include the receipt…” then why not buy them one of the most precious gifts there is: a life?
One Bear Mile is equivalent to one whole flying mile and will keep the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) airborne.
As a thank you, we will send a personalised certificate and cuddly pilot bear of your choice, depending on how many miles you wish to purchase. Each pilot bear is dressed in its very own leather jacket, GNAAS t-shirt and flying hat.
There are three teddy bears to get your hands on, depending on how far you would like your Bear Mile to go.
– A small, keyring bear will help keep the aircraft flying for 1/2 a mile and costs £5. The bear stands at 9cm tall and has a keyring attachment so you can carry him everywhere.
– A medium bear will help keep the aircraft flying for one mile and costs £10, he stands at 20cm tall.
– The biggest of our three bears will pay for two miles of flying and costs £20, he stands at 29cm tall. (Due to high demand, these are currently sold out, but you can be added to a waiting list.)
Whichever size you choose, every bear comes with an individual certificate that can be a unique token to show your support. The certificate is proof you have helped GNAAS by buying a Bear Mile, along with the number mile you have purchased to keep the aircraft up in the sky.
Mandy Drake, head of fundraising at GNAAS, said: “There is often a family member whose present can be difficult to find and this is a great keepsake for a loved one at any age. There is only one bear that should be under your Christmas tree this December.”
