Boy, 10, flown to hospital after suffering serious burns near Ambleside


The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to assist North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) near Ambleside where a boy had sustained serious burns in a scalding. The 10-year-old was treated by NWAS and the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team before being flown to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool within 25 minutes.

The 10-year-old was treated by NWAS and the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team before being flown to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool within 25 minutes. He arrived in a stable condition.

The air ambulance was tasked to the scene at around 9.50am today.
