Airlift after woman falls from horse at speed


The Great North Air Ambulance Service were called to Marske-by-the-Sea to assist North East Ambulance Service after a 35-year-old woman fell from her horse at speed at 11:20am today (Friday). Road paramedics were able to reach the patient on foot but were unable to get the ambulance close to the scene and so GNAAS transported her to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough in 6 minutes. She suffered suspected pelvic injuries and was stable on arrival..
