Aircraft called to Northumberland after A68 crash


The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) flew to rural Northumberland this morning when a 25-year-old woman from Nottingham was seriously injured in a single vehicle crash. GNAAS was called at 8am to the incident on the A68 in Redesdale, near Otterburn, Northumberland. The charity joined North East Ambulance Service paramedics on scene and treated the woman for serious chest and abdominal injuries. The patient was flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, with a flight time of approximately 16 minutes.
