Air ambulance called to woman’s aid in Penrith


The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was also called to assist a BASICS doctor in Penrith at 2.10pm, where a woman had taken ill. The Guardian of the North flew from its Teesside base and worked alongside the BASICS doctor and North West Ambulance Service at the scene on February 14. The woman was put into an induced coma before being flown to Carlisle’s Cumberland Infirmary within 10 minutes where she arrived in a serious but stable condition..
