Air ambulance called to walker at Hadrian’s Wall


The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to a woman who had fallen and sustained an ankle injury while walking near to Housesteads Fort along Hadrian’s Wall at 12:50pm yesterday (Feb 26). The 26-year-old woman, from Newcastle, was over one mile from the road.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to a woman who had fallen and sustained an ankle injury while walking near to Housesteads Fort along Hadrian’s Wall at 12:50pm yesterday (Feb 26).

The 26-year-old woman, from Newcastle, was over one mile from the road. She was treated at the scene by the GNAAS aircrew and then relocated to an ambulance and transported to Newcastle’s RVI.
