Air ambulance called to stroke victim on Lake District fell


The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to a man on a Lake District fell who was suffering from a stroke. The GNAAS team were called to Catbells at around 9am this morning (Apr 20), where they treated a 64-year-old man. North West Ambulance Service paramedics and Keswick Mountain Rescue Team were also at the scene before being flown to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.

The GNAAS team were called to Catbells at around 9am this morning (Apr 20), where they treated a 64-year-old man.

North West Ambulance Service paramedics and Keswick Mountain Rescue Team were also at the scene before being flown to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. The flight took 14 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.
