Air ambulance called to injured biker in Seaham


The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to a biker who had fallen off his vehicle in Seaham. The helicopter landed in a field off Malvern Crescent in Deneside following the collision in nearby Portland Avenue at around 2.50pm yesterday. The rider, an 18-year-old man, suffered a head injury and was treated by paramedics who worked with the GNAAS doctor-led team before he was then airlifted to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough within 11 minutes.
