Man injured after three-vehicle road collision


A MAN was airlifted to hospital after a three-vehicle road traffic collision on the B6165 road near Scotton on Sunday. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the scene at 12:45pm after the crash which involved two campervans and one car. The car driver, a 23-year-old man, suffered suspected leg and pelvic fractures and was treated by the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team. The patient was then flown to Leeds General Infirmary in nine minutes where he arrived in a stable condition. It is understood that another person was also taken to hospital but no one was seriously injured.  GNAAS is a charity and needs to raise £4.5m every year to continue to operate. .
