A MAN has been airlifted to hospital after a car hit a wall and rolled into a field on the A686 near Penrith.
The North West Ambulance Service requested the assistance of GNAAS on October 23.
The doctor-led trauma team assessed and treated a 36-year-old man, from Melmerby, for rib and lung injuries.
The patient was airlifted to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough. The flight took 18 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.
