At the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS), our communities are at the heart of everything we do. Weโre looking for a passionate and energetic Community Fundraiser in the North East to help build strong local relationships, inspire support and maximise fundraising income across the region.
This role is ideal for someone who loves meeting people, thrives in a varied, hands-on role and wants their work to make a genuine, life-saving impact.
About the role
As a Community Fundraiser, youโll build and maintain relationships with schools, community groups, businesses and individuals, helping to raise awareness and income through excellent supporter care and face-to-face engagement. Youโll represent GNAAS at a wide range of fundraising activities, support volunteers, and work closely with colleagues across Income & Engagement to deliver impactful fundraising initiatives.

What you’ll do
Your main responsibilities as a Community Fundraiser include, but are not limited to:
- Support the Community and Volunteer Lead in the delivery of income generation activities.
- Represent the charity at Fundraising activities for example, fundraising stalls, bucket collections, delivering presentations, school assemblies and attending photo opportunities.
- Distributing and servicing charity collection boxes and collecting donations following cash-handling protocols.
- To assist in planning, promoting, and delivering of a wide range of fundraising and awareness projects.
- Provide leadership to the fundraising volunteer network based within your geographic area.
- Maintain an active and professional social media presence working in line with marketing and communicationโs guidance.
