Sweet dreams can come true at the Great North Air Ambulance Serviceโ€™s (GNAAS) forthcoming Candyland Ball.

More than one hundred tickets have already been sold for the bash, which is raising money for the charityโ€™s Pride of Cumbria aircraft, based at Langwathby near Penrith.

Ruth Davey, of GNAAS, said the ball promised to be a special event. She added: โ€œWe can guarantee a night of treats and sugary surprises, live entertainment and edible decorations that are set to delight ball guests.

โ€œWe are looking forward to welcoming supporters of the Pride of Cumbria to what will be a fantastic event.โ€

The event, which follows on from an earlier Candyland Ball at Newcastle in June will be held at Penrithโ€™s Rheged Centre on November 30th.

The evening will kick off with a drinks reception at 6:30pm, followed by a three-course meal and live acts with a disco running until 2am.

There will be a selection of auction lots including a signed Carlisle United football shirt and a brand new mountain bike, as well as a luxury raffle, with prizes such as spa days and grand hampers.

The Willy Wonka-themed golden tickets are ยฃ35 each and are available on the GNAAS website byย calling the charityโ€™s events team on 01325 487 263.
