Motorcyclist in serious condition after Croxdale crash


A man from Spennymoor was flown to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough after a collision on the A167 at Croxdale yesterday.


The 58-year-old motorcyclist sustained severe back, arm and chest injuries in the incident.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called at 5.20pm to the A167 where they worked alongside Durham Police and North East Ambulance Service road paramedics.

The patient was given advanced pain relief and had numerous fractures stabilised before he was flown to Middlesbrough.

The flight took seven minutes and the man arrived in hospital in a stable condition.
