Expert-Led Advanced Life Support Training

As an accredited provider of Resuscitation Council UK training, the Great North Air Ambulance Service delivers the e-ALS course to the highest national standards.

Designed for healthcare professionals working in acute and emergency settings, this one-day provider course equips you with the knowledge and practical skills required to recognise and manage cardiac arrest and other life-threatening conditions.

What is e-ALS

The e-Advanced Life Support (e-ALS) course is a blended learning programme developed by the Resuscitation Council UK.

It combines:

  • Flexible online pre-course learning
  • A focused, hands-on practical training day

Youโ€™ll cover the essential principles of advanced life support, including:

  • Recognition and management of deteriorating patients
  • Cardiac arrest algorithms
  • Airway management and resuscitation techniques
  • Teamworking and leadership in emergency scenarios

What you’ll learn

Who should apply?

This course is suitable for healthcare professionals involved in the management of critically ill patients, including:

  • Doctors
  • Nurses in acute or critical care settings (ED, ICU, HDU, theatres, AMU)
  • Paramedics
  • ICU outreach teams
  • Members of resuscitation or medical emergency teams

Note: All applicants must hold a current clinical role or be in training for a recognised healthcare qualification.

Important Information

GNAAS are required to pay registration and course manual fees to RCUK for each candidate enrolled on the course. In addition, GNAAS is required to adhere to RCUK timelines for candidate registrations. Consequently the following policy will apply in the case of candidate cancellation for any reason:

  • Cancel before 13th May 2026: refund ยฃ380
  • Cancel between 13th May 2026 – 10th June 2026: refund ยฃ0
