We’re shining the spotlight on our Corporate Partner Cumbria Chamber of Commerce who have been great supporters of our charity for several years.
As a business-led network, they play a vital role in promoting economic growth, by advocating for pro-business policies, providing members with networking opportunities, offering business resources and education, and increasing visibility to support local companies in growing jobs and prosperity.
They act as a collective voice for businesses, lobbying local government and fostering community engagement to create a favourable environment for commerce.
GNAAS is one of the many charities who are members of the Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, and in 2024 they chose to support us at their Christmas lunch and charity auction.

The event was attended by more than 50 members of the chamber, and began with a festive networking drinks reception, followed by a three-course Christmas lunch.
The charity auction was led by Kev Warman, chamber engagement manager, who took to the stage dressed as Santa Claus.
There were 52 auction lots donated by local businesses, including hotel stays, luxury experiences, hampers, gift vouchers, and a wet and dry vacuum.
In addition to the money raised during the event, part of the funds were donated through GNAAS’ Big Give Christmas Campaign, meaning those donations were doubled, leading to the Chamber raising £7,400, which qualifies them as a Corporate Partner of the charity.

They’ve since held a networking event at our base in Langwathby, Penrith called Business Bites on Tour, which welcomed 25 Chamber members from a variety of local businesses.
Alongside some great networking and conversations, we had the pleasure of giving our guests a behind-the-scenes tour of our aircraft, demonstrated the equipment we use, and showcased the impact of our work.
They’ve since organised another networking event at our Langwathby base on 28 April.
Kev said: “The feedback about GNAAS was fantastic. It’s such a vital service for the area and a life saver that resonates with so many people.
“Support for this fantastic service is essential, and with the terrain we have, it’s something our community genuinely relies on.”
