The Route
Our first ever GYRO 60 in Cumbria is an epic route that starts at the brilliant Penrith Football Club, and takes in some of the best scenery in the area.
The GYRO 60 begins by following the same route as the GYRO 30, out through Askham and Great Strickland towards the village of Kings Meaburn. You’ll continue South towards Great Asby, before turning North and passing through the historic village of Appleby-in-Westmorland.
The 60 route continues through Dufton and Gamblesby, before taking another turn South through the beautiful village that is home to our Cumbrian airbase, Langwathby. From here, you’ll continue on your final push back towards Penrith where you’ll receive a hero’s welcome at the finish line, back at Penrith Football Club.
