Your time is one of the most precious gifts you can give to a charity and the positive feeling you get back is immeasurable. You may be thinking, I don’t have time or I work and have a busy family life.
But did you know that you can take part in one off volunteering and it is exactly what it says, volunteering at a one off event / or location
We are currently looking for people like you to join our ground crew and help out at the Great North Run this September.
We’ll be at the Great North Run on 11th September from 10am and we’re on the lookout for anyone with a proactive attitude and loads of enthusiasm to join our team of ground crew volunteers to help out on the day. You don’t need any previous experience, and you only need to come along for a few hours – so if you have any plans that day – what are you waiting for!
There are a number of ways you can help out on event day. You can help out in our event marquee, welcoming and congratulating our participants and handing out refreshments. Or why not round up your friends, family or colleagues to help support the team on route. If there’s more than four of you then you could come and help out as a cheer team, we’ll kit you out with promotional equipment so you can stand along the race line to really cheer our participants on!
Without our volunteers, without you – we wouldn’t be able to get out there to support our wonderful fundraisers.
We’ll make sure you’re well prepared. We’ll send you briefing notes before the event and an event lead will be on site for further support and to answer any questions you may have.
