Pride of Cumbria called in for hilltop rescue


Medics from the Great North Air Ambulance Service were called to a mountain path at Stick Pass, between Ulswater and Thirlmere, Cumbria, on Saturday.

Medics from the Great North Air Ambulance Service were called to a mountain path at Stick Pass, between Ulswater and Thirlmere, Cumbria, on Saturday. A 27-year-old had fallen unwell and need urgent medical treatment. The man was assessed and treated by the crew of the Pride of Cumbria, which is based at Langwathby, near Penrith, before being transported down the hillside in a stable condition.
