Yesterday at 1.10pm, GNAAS responded to reports of a man, believed to be in his 30s, who had fallen from a pier into the sea in Berwick-upon-Tweed.
On arrival on scene the doctor and paramedic crew along with members of the Berwick upon Tweed Lifeboats and Scottish Ambulance Service treated a patient for hypothermia due to cold water immersion.
The aircrew, with help from the Scottish Ambulance Service, transferred the patient to Berwick hospital for treatment. He arrived in a stable condition.
