On Monday January 15 at 2.25pm we were called to a road traffic collision on the A7 near Longtown.
On arrival, we found we were not required. However, from there we were mobilised to meet a road ambulance at the helipad at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, to transfer a critically ill man, believed to be in his 60s, who required advanced treatment. He was flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. The flight took 15 minutes.
