Wounded man given blood after Billingham incident


THE Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Billingham at 8.34am today (December 1) where two men had reportedly been wounded. The aircraft flew to the scene and the charity’s doctor and paramedic team worked on one of the patients who had sustained wounds to his abdomen and chest. The GNAAS crew then accompanied the patient to James Cook University Hospital in a North East Ambulance Service road vehicle, performing a blood transfusion en route.
