Earlier today GNAAS sent two aircraft (pictured, Pride of Cumbria right) to Egremont, West Cumbria, where a 54yo local woman had sustained life-threatening head injuries in a cycling accident.

Our crews worked alongside North West Ambulance Service paramedics in treating the patient. She was then anaesthetised on scene by the Pride of Cumbria’s onboard doctor before being flown to hospital in Preston. The flight took 20 minutes and the patient arrived in a critical condition.
