Woman airlifted after fall through roof


A woman was airlifted to hospital after she fell through the roof of her loft at Scotby, near Carlisle, yesterday (June 16).

A woman was airlifted to hospital after she fell through the roof of her loft at Scotby, near Carlisle, yesterday (June 16).

The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to the scene of the incident at 3:48pm.

The 41-year-old woman sustained a back injury. GNAAS medics assessed and treated the patient before she was flown to Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary in a stable condition. The flight took 23 minutes.
