Woman airlifted after car collides with tree in Yorkshire


The 23 -year-old woman was taken to James Cook with multiple injuries after the incident, which took place over the weekend near Castle Howard, North Yorkshire.


GNAAS was called to assist Yorkshire Ambulance Service crews with the aftermath of a single vehicle road crash.

Four people had been injured when the car they were travelling in struck a tree.

The GNAAS doctor and paramedic treated the female patient for abdominal and shoulder injuries before she was flown to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough, a flight time of only 14 minutes.

The other patients in the car were transported by road ambulances to hospital.

Police and fire crews were also on scene.
