Woman airlifted after being thrown from horse


A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital after being thrown from a horse at Skelton-in-Cleveland. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the incident at 2:20pm on Saturday (March 19). The woman, believed to be 35-years-old, suffered a suspected back injury and was treated by the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team before being flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough within eight minutes.  GNAAS is a charity and needs to raise £4.5m every year to continue to operate. .
