Woman, 79, injured in collision near Darlington


A 79-YEAR-OLD woman has been airlifted to hospital after a car crash near Croft Bridge on the North Yorkshire and County Durham border. The woman suffered chest, hip and arm injuries and she was treated by Great North Air Ambulance Service doctor-led trauma team and North East Ambulance Service paramedics. The service was called to Hurworth Place at around 4.30pm on Monday and the aircraft landed on the banks of the nearby River Tees. After treatment, the woman was flown to Middlesbrough’s James Cook University Hospital for further treatment.

After treatment, the woman was flown to Middlesbrough’s James Cook University Hospital for further treatment. The flight took eight minutes and she arrived in a stable condition.
