Woman, 18, airlifted after horse riding fall


The Great North Air Ambulance Service’s Pride of Cumbria crew, based at Langwathby near Penrith, responded to Dalston, near Carlisle, yesterday afternoon, Monday August 13th.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service’s Pride of Cumbria crew, based at Langwathby near Penrith, responded to Dalston, near Carlisle, yesterday afternoon, Monday August 13th. A young woman, believed to be local, had fallen from a horse and sustained potentially serious head and neck injuries. She was assessed and stabilised on scene before being flown to hospital in Carlisle for further treatment.
