Walker rescued from Cleveland Way


A 41-year-old woman was airlifted to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough after she slipped on ice while walking a section of the Cleveland Way. The woman, from Redcar, was with a small group at Round Hill, in the North York Moors, when the incident happened shortly before 11am yesterday. The Guardian of the North aircraft was activated from its base at Durham Tees Valley Airport and was on scene within ten minutes.  The doctor and paramedic team assessed the patient before she was airlifted.

The woman, from Redcar, was with a small group at Round Hill, in the North York Moors, when the incident happened shortly before 11am yesterday.

The Guardian of the North aircraft was activated from its base at Durham Tees Valley Airport and was on scene within ten minutes. 
The doctor and paramedic team assessed the patient before she was airlifted. The flight took just six minutes and she arrived at hospital in a stable condition.
