Walker, 80, airlifted from Lake District fell


The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to reports of an 80-year-old man who had developed chest pains while walking at Barrow Door, near Keswick, today. The Pride of Cumbria crew was tasked to the incident at 10.40am and worked alongside Keswick Mountain Rescue Team and North West Ambulance Service to assess and transfer the man to Carlisle’s Cumberland Infirmary. The flight to hospital took 13 minutes and the patient arrived in a stable condition. .
