Two GNAAS helicopters called to A66 crash


Two air ambulances were called to the A66, near Smallways, after four people were injured in a two-car collision yesterday (July 12). The Great North Air Ambulance Service helicopters transported an elderly couple, who had suffered serious multiple injuries to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.

Two air ambulances were called to the A66, near Smallways, after four people were injured in a two-car collision yesterday (July 12).

The Great North Air Ambulance Service helicopters transported an elderly couple, who had suffered serious multiple injuries to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough. The patients arrived in a serious but stable condition after a 10 minute flight.

Two people were also taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
