Teenage motocross rider airlifted to hospital


A TEENAGE motocross rider was airlifted to hospital after falling from her bike. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Blyth, Northumberland, at 2.36pm yesterday (March 13) where the 14-year-old girl had suffered arm injuries. The doctor-led GNAAS team assessed and treated the teenager at the scene before she was flown to Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary in a flight that took just eight minutes.
