Pensioner airlifted from Bellingham


A PENSIONER was airlifted to hospital after suffering from a medical condition in Bellingham yesterday (August 4). The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Bellingham, Northumberland, where a man had collapsed in his home after suffering from a medical condition. The 68-year-old was treated by the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team before he was flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle, in just 15 minutes.

The 68-year-old was treated by the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team before he was flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle, in just 15 minutes. He arrived in a critical condition.

GNAAS worked alongside North East Ambulance Service.
