Pedestrian struck by car at Bigrigg


The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called at 4pm to Bigrigg, to reports of a pedestrian being struck by a car. A 63-year-old male had sustained serious lower leg injuries in the incident and required treatment on scene by the GNAAS doctor-led trauma team. He was then flown to hospital in Preston.

He was then flown to hospital in Preston. The flight took 24 minutes and the patient was stable on arrival.
