Pedestrian and vehicle collision in Barrow


Today at 1.15pm the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) assisted the North West Ambulance Service and North West Air Ambulance Charityin Barrow, where a car had collided with a pedestrian. A woman, believed to be in her 80s, sustained multiple serious injuries and was placed into an induced coma by the GNAAS paramedic and doctor team. The patient was then taken to Royal Preston Hospital by road, accompanied by the GNAAS aircrew medics, and arrived in a stable but serious condition.
