Pedestrian airlifted after collision with van in Blyth


A PEDESTRIAN was airlifted to hospital after being in a collision with a van last night. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Cowpen Road, Blyth, at 18.06pm. The GNAAS doctor-led trauma team treated a 43-year-old man for serious multiple injuries. The patient was then flown to Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary within 8 minutes, where he arrived in a stable condition..
