Man unwell at caravan site near Appleby


The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to a 34-year-old man who had become unwell while on holiday at a caravan site near Appleby at 8:30am yesterday (Sun). The man from Hartlepool was assessed at the scene and then flown to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle for treatment.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to a 34-year-old man who had become unwell while on holiday at a caravan site near Appleby at 8:30am yesterday (Sun).

The man from Hartlepool was assessed at the scene and then flown to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle for treatment. The flight took 10 minutes. 

GNAAS operates three aircraft across Cumbria, the North East and North Yorkshire and needs £4m every year to run the service.
