Man rescued after being trapped under brick wall


The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Beamish, Stanley, at 10.55am yesterday, where a man was trapped beneath a brick wall. The GNAAS trauma team worked alongside the fire service and ambulance personnel to extricate the man, who was in his 50s, before he was assessed and treated for a possible fractured pelvis. The patient was flown to the Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary within six minutes where he arrived in a stable condition..
