Man flown to hospital after byre roof fall in Carlisle


A MAN suffered a serious head injury after falling through a byre roof. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Thursby, near Carlisle, on January 22. The 41-year-old was treated at the scene by North West Ambulance Service paramedics and the GNAAS doctor and paramedic crew before being flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. The flight took 21 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.  .
