Man airlifted to hospital after cardiac arrest in Kendal


The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Kendal at around 2pm yesterday, where a man was in cardiac arrest. The GNAAS helicopter landed at Dean Gibson Primary School. The 80-year-old patient was given immediate CPR by bystanders before North West Ambulance Service restarted the man’s heart, and he was administered treatment by the doctor-led aircrew before being flown to Carlisle’s Cumberland Infirmary within 25 minutes.
