Man airlifted to hospital after being hit by golf buggy


A 74-year-old man has been airlifted to hospital after been hit and dragged under a golf buggy at Silloth Golf Club today (Apr 14). The Great North Air Ambulance Service, community first responders and North West Ambulance Service were all called to the scene. The Carlisle man sustained serious head injuries. After treatment, he was flown to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle, for further assessment.

After treatment, he was flown to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle, for further assessment. The flight took eight minutes and his condition was stable upon arrival.
