Man airlifted from Workington after suffering cardiac arrest


Today at 1.25pm we were called to Workington town centre, after a man, believed to be in his 50s, was suffering a cardiac arrest. The GNAAS paramedic and doctor team, working alongside a team from North West Ambulance Service, assessed and treated the patient.

The GNAAS paramedic and doctor team, working alongside a team from North West Ambulance Service, assessed and treated the patient. He was then airlifted to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. The flight took 13 minutes and he arrived in a serious but stable condition.
