Man airlifted from Whitehaven after breaking femur


Yesterday at 1pm we were called to assist the North West Ambulance Service in Whitehaven, where a man, believed to be in his 70s, had broken his femur. The GNAAS paramedic and doctor team administered pain relief to the patient and airlifted him to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.

The GNAAS paramedic and doctor team administered pain relief to the patient and airlifted him to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. The flight took 15 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.
