Man airlifted from Carlisle to Newcastle hospital


The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) airlifted a man from Carlisle to Newcastle hospitals today. The man, in his 20s, had been involved in a serious crash on A66 near Penrith in the early hours of the morning. The GNAAS crew flew the man from the Cumberland Infirmary to Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary for specialist treatment.  .
