Man airlifted after fall through cow shed roof


Our Pride Of Cumbria air ambulance, based at Langwathby near Penrith, had a short journey to make on Saturday, July 28th, when it travelled to Little Strickland where a man in his forties had fallen through the roof of a cow shed.

Our Pride Of Cumbria air ambulance, based at Langwathby near Penrith, had a short journey to make on Saturday, July 28th, when it travelled to Little Strickland where a man in his forties had fallen through the roof of a cow shed. Working alongside the North West Ambulance Service, our crew of paramedic and doctor assessed and treated the patient on scene before flying him to hospital in Newcastle. He had suffered serious head, back and leg injuries but was stable upon arrival.
