Man airlifted after cardiac arrest in Keswick


The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Keswick at around 3:50pm yesterday after a man suffered a cardiac arrest while walking in the street. A community defibrillator was used to restart the man’s heart before GNAAS flew him to Carlisle’s Cumberland Infirmary in a critical condition. The multi-agency response included GNAAS, a BASICS doctor, North West Ambulance Service, off-duty paramedics, mountain rescue team members and passersby..
