Male teenager injured in road traffic collision


On Tuesday August 8 at 7.16pm, we were called to the A69, near Haydon Bridge, to assist the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS), after a male teenager was involved in a two car road traffic collision. The patient sustained head, chest, pelvis and femur injuries and was assessed by the GNAAS paramedic and doctor team before being placed in an induced coma. He was flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle for ongoing treatment.

He was flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle for ongoing treatment. The flight took 10 minutes and he arrived in a critical condition.
