Male motorcyclist injured in collision with lorry in Gateshead


Today at 10.05am we were called to Gateshead where a male motorcyclist, believed to be in his 30s, was injured in a collision with a lorry. The patient sustained leg, pelvis and chest injuries and was assessed and treated on scene by the GNAAS paramedic and doctor team.

The patient sustained leg, pelvis and chest injuries and was assessed and treated on scene by the GNAAS paramedic and doctor team. He was transported to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle by a North East Ambulance Service road crew, accompanied by our team, and arrived in a stable condition. The aircrew medics were then reunited with the aircraft at the hospital.
