Male injured in vehicle collision in Newton-le-Willows


We were called at 1pm to Newton-le-Willows, near Bedale, to assist Yorkshire Ambulance Service, after a male, believed to be in his 20s, was trapped in his vehicle following a collision. The GNAAS doctor and paramedic trauma team assessed the patient, who had sustained neck, abdominal and back injuries, before he was flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough for ongoing treatment.

The GNAAS doctor and paramedic trauma team assessed the patient, who had sustained neck, abdominal and back injuries, before he was flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough for ongoing treatment. The flight took 12 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.
