A round-up of some of our latest missions:  Fri 11:00am: A 27-year-old male had received chest injuries from farm machinery at Easingwold.

A round-up of some of our latest missions: 

Fri 11:00am: A 27-year-old male had received chest injuries from farm machinery at Easingwold. He was assessed and treated by GNAAS aircrew and Yorkshire Ambulance Service before being flown to James Cook University Hospital in 15 minutes.

Fri 3:50pm: A 15-year-old girl had fallen off a horse and sustained a suspected pelvic injury, near Scaling Dam. She was in an area that was difficult to access by road and was treated by GNAAS doctor-led trauma team before being transported to James Cook University Hospital. The road ambulance was stood down by GNAAS, therefore releasing them for further emergencies. She was in hospital within 7 minutes of lifting from scene.  

Fri 7:35pm: A 9-year-old boy had fallen from an off-road motorcycle, near Gilling West. Land crews and GNAAS doctor-led trauma team treated and stabilised the child before he was flown to James Cook University Hospital with serious arm injuries.  The flight took 10 minutes.

Sat 12:45pm: A Devon woman, in her 50s, had sustained head injuries after a fall at Great Gable. GNAAS landed on the mountain and assessed and treated the female before she was airlifted off the site and taken to hospital in 12 minutes. Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team stood by at Wasdale Head in case they were needed. 

Sun 2:20pm: A 23-year-old male rider had suffered serious chest injuries at a Moto X event near Brampton, Cumbria. GNAAS crew and North West Ambulance Service treated the patient before he was transported to Royal Victoria Hospital, Newcastle, in 21 minutes.

Sun 2:35pm: GNAAS was called to a road traffic accident between one car and two motorcycles, near Bellingham. Two motorcyclists suffered minor injuries and after being assessed by the doctor-led trauma team both travelled to hospital by road. Police, fire and ambulance services were also in attendance at the scene. 

Sun 5:30pm: A 21-year-old male was treated after his quad bike was in a collision with a tractor at Culgaith, near Penrith. The patient was assessed for a back injury by the GNAAS doctor and paramedic, before being airlifted to Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, in 10 minutes.
